Leadership

Morchella Ventures is led by a CEO with more than two decades of C-suite experience advising CEOs, boards, and executive leadership teams on strategy, transactions, and risk — a career spent evaluating businesses and helping them thrive. He holds an Executive MBA from Harvard Business School, a Juris Doctor, and an undergraduate degree in Economics and Finance.

His career has centered on the outdoor industry, where he spent more than twenty years as general counsel and a member of the executive leadership team for global outdoor equipment manufacturers. He served on the executive team through a major turnaround that returned the company to profitability, and has originated and executed complex transactions — from acquisitions and strategic negotiations to the cross-border sale of international subsidiaries.

His experience spans M&A, corporate governance, litigation strategy — including the favorable resolution of multimillion-dollar intellectual property disputes — regulatory compliance, and enterprise risk management. He has also served as board secretary and advisor to a growth-stage international spirits company and as a board member of the Northwest Avalanche Center.

An avid outdoorsman — hunter, rock climber, backcountry skier, and mountain biker — he knows the terrain his clients navigate because he lives it.
